bio

I was born in Padua where I studied History and Critic of Cinema and I got a master degree for teaching Italian as a second language. For some years I taught Italian in the USA and Czech Republic.
Since I was in the high school, I loved illustration and picture books in particular.
I was in illustration courses and workshops in the international illustration school of Sarmede, Le immagini della fantasia, and in Ars in Fabula in Macerata, with Arcadio Lobato, MaurizioQuarello, Svjetlan Junaković, Carll Cneut. I attended workshops of Roberto Pittarello on children visual education. I also was in a course on comics held by Stefano Tamiazzo. When I lived in Prague I was in figure drawing classes with models at the Academy of Arts Architecture and Design, and then in Rome I attended an instinctual drawing course held by Riccardo Mannelli.

Since September 2008 I live in Rome where I spend most of my time painting and working on illustration.
I also teach illustration and drawing to children and adults in different schools (Scuolacomics, Padua; Licée Chateaubriand, Rome).
My paintings and illustrations were in some individual and collective exhibitions in Italy (Rome, Padua, Vicenza, Mantua, Pavia).
In 2009 I published my first picture book, ‘Mine, All Mine!’ (Boxer Books, London 2009).
Later on I also published with Oxford University Press (‘Dragon Tales’ 2010, and 24 covers for TreeTops Classics, 2014), Giunti (‘Papirofobia’ 2011), Tyndale, Paraclete Press, Kar-Ben publisher.
